The Lego Jurassic World 122006 Triceratops Polybag came with Lego Jurassic World Magazine issue 6. Unfortunately, I didn’t know there were magazines with free Lego until after this came out so I had to buy one on eBay. It was still cheap, about the price of the magazine alone.
I’m generally not a big fan of brick-built animals or dinosaurs, but as part of my Lego Jurassic Park build, I am trying to collect as many brick-built dinosaurs as I can so that I can turn them into ride vehicles of some sort. You can’t have a theme park without some rides!
This little Lego set contains 65 pieces and makes a nice poseable green Lego triceratops. The only problems I had with this build is that the instructions are inside the magazine, not inside the bag. As I bought this without the magazine I had to find an instruction video on YouTube and repeatedly pause it / play it in slow motion to build it myself.
Here’s an example of one, but it’s not the one I used. It’s good cos you can see bits of the instructions in the video if you pause it.
Another issue I had was that there was a piece missing, a small 1/4 circle flat tile for part of the frill. The eBay seller said he might be able to source me another piece as he’s doing a big parts order soon and will send it with my next order (I’ve bought from him a few times).
